MHPA Seeks Visionary Communications Leader

Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPA), the leading national trade association representing Medicaid managed care organizations, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Communications. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned communications leader to shape the narrative and elevate the profile of MHPA and the vital role of Medicaid managed care.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO, and will serve as the chief architect of MHPA’s communications strategy. This individual will oversee all external and internal communications functions, including media relations, thought leadership, digital communications, content strategy, crisis communications, and stakeholder engagement. The Vice President will develop and implement a comprehensive, data-driven integrated communications strategy that aligns with MHPA’s mission and goals.

This role demands a proven track record in developing and executing high-impact communication strategies, ideally within the healthcare, policy, or advocacy sectors. The VP will cultivate relationships with key journalists and thought leaders, and provide strategic counsel to MHPA's executive leadership.

The base salary for this position is $175,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package .
